TD Henderson is an Assistant Principal & Early College & STEM Program Manager. Tasha Henderson is also a founding Career & Technical Education Department Chair at a STEM High School founded in 2019. She is an author, speaker, and adjunct professor in her spare time.
Tasha is a lifelong learner and deeply passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Tasha’s passion for equity and access to the sciences drives her love for the youth and their post-secondary future on every level of their being. Tasha has worked for Chicago Public Schools in many capacities for the last 14 years. She was a middle school Math and Science teacher, a Technology and Engineering teacher for grades K-8, and a STEM Coordinator. Before her career in education, Tasha was a Senior Computer Database Administrator for the Chicago Board of Trade and corporate entities for several years. Tasha has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Elmhurst University, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from St. Xavier University, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University Chicago. As an undergrad, Tasha also studied Mechanical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. For several years
Tasha was a STEM Leadership Sustainability Fellow for Michigan State University and Chicago Public Schools. Currently, Tasha is an Educational Technology Leadership Ph.D. candidate at Concordia University Chicago.
